El Puente de los Suspiros

El Puente de los Suspiros by Ethel Agostino recovers various stories of women who were victims of the "White Slave Trade" in 19th-century Buenos Aires, also known as "La Ciudad de la Trata." Based on real events revealed by Ramón Guerrero in the newspaper "El Puente de los Suspiros" in 1878, the play aims to denounce the mafia organizations involved in the "White Slave Trade" and their connections to a passive and arbitrary political leadership and justice system.

Un Demócrata

Un Demócrata is a theatrical document by French playwright Julie Timmerman about Edward Bernays, a pioneer in mass manipulation techniques. He sold soap, cigarettes, presidents, and coups d'état.

The implications for Western culture of this figure reveal the influence of Freud's thinking, Bernays' uncle, in advertising and political propaganda.

Additionally, the play highlights the work of Doris Fleischman, the creator of the concept of public relations, offering a more comprehensive view of the participation of men and women in history.
